Crate & Playpen Supplies

Everything you need for the best crating for your puppy!

Wire Crate

A basic crate that puppies in training use. There are many brands, but I love the Midwest Double Door the most.

Playpen

This is by far my favorite playpen and I have tried more than I care to imagine! It can be used as a playpen or room divider, looks nice, and is sturdy.

Toppl

Useful for stuffing and freezing for your puppy’s bedtime treats. These are very easy to clean and refill quickly. I recommend size Small for puppies.

Woof Pupsicle

Size Small. It is so convenient to fill the molds and just pop one in and takes up far less freezer space than other options. The refill pops are great when you are in a rush and don’t have anything frozen ready.

Chew King

For the advanced puppy/dog who is eating from other treat toys too quickly. I love these more than Kongs in that they are much easier to clean, but they still provide the same challenge. Size Medium.

Diggs Crate

Popular among clients, this crate has some benefits over the standard wire crate – and looks great!

Dakota Crate

For a solid crate I recommend either Dakota or Ruffland crates. I have linked Dakota here, but I love Ruffland as well. These crates are very sturdy, safe, and leave little room for your puppy to chew on bars and get their jaws or paws stuck. Rufflands are best bought through local retailers.

Crate Bed

I love these bolster beds as a cozy option for your puppy’s crate. They are thin, easy to wash, and provide just enough comfort at a great price. They are also very sturdy. After raising over 60 puppies I have all of mine still intact!

Primo Pads

I absolutely love these crate pads, especially for doodles who get hot easily! They are incredibly easy to clean and keep your puppy cool. These cannot be bought through my affiliate links, they are only available through their website.

Soft Crate

Great for travel and in the car. This crate folds up really easily and has held up to a lot of puppies! I do not recommend this as more than a temporary crate for in the car or when at a guests house where the puppy will be in the same room.

Around the House

General Supplies I Love!

Nature’s Miracle Virus Defend

If you have a puppy who is not fully vaccinated, this product is great because it not only eliminates messes, it also disinfects against disease.

Nature’s Miracle Advanced

My favorite odor eliminator to clean accidents. This will eliminate urine odors and help prevent repeat accidents.

Rescue Wipes

This product is strong and should be used with gloves (it will dry out your hands!) but is the best wipe for eliminating germs in your puppy’s space.

Amazon Echo

Technology for your pup? Yep! I use this to play music, audiobooks, or podcasts for the puppies to help them sleep.

Reolink Video Monitoring

I personally like the Reolink brand as it’s very easy to use and access the stream. I use these to keep an eye on the puppies while I’m out of the house.

Muddy Mat

I love this mat right in my doorway as it really does collect a lot of dirt. It doesn’t totally prevent it during mud season but is super helpful.

Hair Trimmer

I use this for sanitary trims on the puppies and for my Cocker Spaniel’s regular hair cuts. This trimmer is affordable and works great!

Nail Clippers

Absolutely the best nail clippers on the market. They slice through nails very quickly and don’t apply a ton of pressure to the nail like other clippers. This means the dogs tolerate them a lot better!

Slicker Brush

Especially with doodles, I recommend higher quality brushes and there isn’t a better slicker brush than this one.

Grooming Kit

This is a great kit to get scissors and a metal comb for brushing down to the base of your dog’s coat.

Waterless Shampoo

This is my favorite waterless shampoo that I use for my dogs and client puppies. It is great for washing their head and for between baths on paws and legs!

Ear Cleaner

As someone with a Cocker Spaniel, ear health is important! I cannot recommend this brand of ear cleaner enough.

Out For a Walk!

Walking Supplies for Your Pup

Freedom No Pull Harness

This is my all time favorite harness! Clip in the back when you are going for a hike and letting your puppy explore, and clip in the front when you want your puppy to heel at your side.

Easy Walk Harness

The Easy Walk harness is a great alternative with a little more padding.

Long Line

This waterproof long line is a great tool for letting your dog have some free space to roam while safely still having them within reach.

Hands Free Leash

I love using a hands free leash when I am training so I can have my hands free to treat my puppy!

Treat Pouch

No walk is complete without having a lot of treats on hand to reward your puppy for good behaviors!

Night Collar

Visibility is so important when walking your puppy at night. I love these collars even in my backyard so I can see where my dogs are at all times.

Musher’s Secret

To protect your dog’s paws. I really like using this product in the winter to keep paws safe!

Fi Dog Collar

If you plan to do offleash walking with your dog, this collar is a must have for an added layer of protection against losing your pup. Please do not offleash your dog unless you are completely confident in their recall.

Waste Bags

These are my favorite waste pick up bags – they are thick and do not rip easily.

Jacket

Kurgo makes great jackets, though there are tons of jacket options out there so definitely look around for a style you enjoy. I just know these are sturdy!

Chews, Toys & Treats

My favorite puppy chews after years of experimenting!

Hooves

These chews are great for stuffing with cream cheese, yogurt, peanut butter and/or canned dog food and freezing for a snack that occupies for a while.

Stuffed Collagen Sticks

I much prefer these over bully sticks. They last just as long and the dogs love them. A warning, though, they do leave powder on the floor from the filling.

No Hide Chews

These chews are easily digestible and last for quite a while with puppies. As your puppy matures, you can get larger ones.

Cow Ears

Cow ears are a great, generally safe chew that last even my adult dogs quite a while. My dogs are not super chewers, though, so length of chewing will vary.

Stick Holder

If you are going to get any stick shaped chews (bully sticks, collagen sticks, etc.) please get a holder to prevent them from choking on the last bit of it.

Twizzies

These last a long time with puppies, but adults will eat them pretty quickly so these are just temporarily great chews for your pup!

Churros

These churros are wonderful little treats for puppies! Adults eat them very quickly, and so will older puppies, but they still make for a great treat to keep them busy for a little while.

Beef Tendons

Beef tendons are great puppy chews, but older dogs will eat them pretty quickly.

Squishy Chew

Depending on your puppy’s stage of teething, they sometimes really want a softer chew, and this is one of the options! It’s much more squishy and gentle on aching teeth.

Benebone Puppy Pack

I really love this Benebone puppy pack. These chews are sturdy and last a long time. Not every puppy is in love with them, but they all typically enjoy them on and off so they are nice to have around.

Please Note: All chews come with some risk. Please speak to your veterinarian about what is appropriate for your individual puppy and always give chews under supervision.

Puppy Toys!

Puppy Flirt Pole

An absolute must have! This toy is especially useful with kids in the house as they can safely exercise the puppy without accidental nipping happening.

Adult Flirt Pole

For the more rambunctious or larger puppy, this flirt pole is tougher and has a longer reach.

Super Chewer Plushes

I love these super chewer plushes since they do not fall apart very easily and last a long time with puppies.

Wubba

The Wubba is a favorite among many puppies and holds up to puppy teeth quite well!

Chattering Hedgehog

This toy makes a fun sound that puppies love!

Hyper Toy

This toy is SO much fun for everyone! It makes noise and jiggles around, creating a stimulating toy that puppies often really love! If you have a shy or easily scared puppy, however, avoid this one.

ChuckIt Ball

Puppies love the texture of this ball! I have had some of these for years, they hold up really well with my dogs, though I do not know how they would hold up if your puppy decides to become destructive.

Squeaky Balls

An absolute favorite among so many puppies and dogs. Nearly every puppy is obsessed with these things!

Tug Toy

This toy will save your hands and clothes from puppy teeth! Carry this around with you as a good option for your puppy to chew on instead of you.

Treat Dispenser

Need a break from your puppy? This toy will keep them busy for quite a while as they roll it around getting treats out of it. You can also feed them their meals this way to extend mealtime.

I also recommend going to HomeGoods or TJMaxx and looking for a variety of textures of toys! The above toys are ones that are pretty consistently loved by every puppy, or the majority of puppies and that are a little more unique than just a stuffed toy. Do provide plenty of stuffed, rubber, hard, and soft chews to give your puppy plenty of textures to help them through teething and keep their environment interesting.

Treats Used During Puppy School

Stella & Chewy Meal Mixers

I love these because they break apart really easily and puppies tend to really enjoy them.

Rawbble

These freeze dried morsels also break apart easily and are pretty small to begin.

Rawternative

These are basically soft treats and the dogs love them!

Buddy Bits

Even some of my pickiest puppies have loved these treats.

Beef Bites

Soft treats that are well liked among the majority of the dogs I’ve had!

Freeze Dried Chicken

This is a healthy, simple ingredient treat that generally works even for the most sensitive of tummies.

Mini Nibs

Break these in half for a great treat!

Purina Puppy Food

Used as a stuffing for frozen treats. Do not feed as a meal, this is just a treat! One can goes a long way. I use about a spoonful for each frozen treat.

Natural Balance Canned Food

Used as a stuffing for frozen treats. Do not feed as a meal, this is just a treat! One can goes a long way. I use about a spoonful for each frozen treat.

Weruva Canned Food

Used as a stuffing for frozen treats. Do not feed as a meal, this is just a treat! One can goes a long way. I use about a spoonful for each frozen treat. I prefer this one for a puppy who has a more sensitive stomach.
